PKM “Pengenalan dan Pemahaman Ekosistem Padang Lamun Bagi Generasi Muda Papua”

Ekosistem padang lamun memiliki peran penting dalam menjaga keseimbangan ekosistem pesisir dan laut, selain itu padang lamun juga berfungsi sebagai habitat bagi spesies laut, mendukung keanekaragaman hayati, serta memberikan manfaat ekonomi dan sosial bagi masyarakat pesisir. Namun, ekosistem ini menghadapi ancaman serius akibat aktivitas manusia. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman generasi muda Papua tentang ekosistem lamun melalui pendidikan lingkungan berbasis ceramah dan diskusi interaktif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukan adanya peningkatan pemahaman siswa sebesar 20% berdasarkan perbandingan nilai pre-test dan post-test. Dengan adanya kegiatan ini, generasi muda diharapkan mampu menjadi agen perubahan yang berperan dalam pelestarian ekosistem pesisir.
