This ownership and publishing information is provided to make the journal's institutional affiliation and publishing responsibility transparent to authors, readers, reviewers, and other stakeholders. This disclosure follows the COPE-endorsed Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing, which state that information about a journal's ownership and management should be clearly indicated on its website.
2. Publisher and Institutional Affiliation
The publisher of SENTRALISASI is the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sorong (UNAMIN). The journal's institutional collaboration with the university's Research and Community Service unit supports its scholarly publishing activities. The journal's institutional identity and publishing relationship should be presented accurately and consistently across its website, publication policies, and published articles. This approach is consistent with the COPE-endorsed transparency principles, which emphasize clear ownership information and prohibit organizational descriptions that could mislead authors or editors about the nature of a journal's owner.
3. Journal Management
SENTRALISASI is managed through an editorial and publishing structure responsible for the journal's academic scope, manuscript handling, peer-review coordination, publication decisions, and publication-ethics procedures. The names, institutional affiliations, and responsibilities of the relevant editors and editorial team members should be made available through the journal's Editorial Team page. The management structure and its responsibilities should be described clearly and kept up to date. This provision is aligned with COPE's Core Practices, particularly Core Practice 8 on Journal Management, which emphasizes an adequately described infrastructure, effective journal operations, and the management and training of editorial boards and publishing staff.
4. Editorial Independence
Editorial decisions for SENTRALISASI should be based on the scholarly merit, relevance, originality, methodological quality, and ethical acceptability of submitted manuscripts. The journal's owner, publisher, institutional collaborators, sponsors, and other parties should not improperly influence editorial decisions or interfere with the independent assessment of manuscripts. Any institutional or financial relationships that could affect editorial activities should be handled transparently and in accordance with the journal's conflict-of-interest policy. This commitment is consistent with COPE's Core Practice 8 on Journal Management and the COPE-endorsed Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing, which address editorial independence and state that publishing fees should not influence editorial decision-making.
5. Editorial Board and Governing Responsibilities
The editorial board provides academic and editorial expertise relevant to the journal's aims and scope. Its members should be identified by their full names and institutional affiliations, and the published information should be accurate and regularly reviewed. Editorial responsibilities should be distinguished from the institutional ownership and publishing functions of the journal. These provisions reflect the COPE-endorsed transparency principles, which call for journals to identify their governing or editorial bodies and provide the full names and affiliations of their members.
6. Publication Ethics and Accountability
SENTRALISASI is committed to maintaining responsible scholarly publishing practices, including the fair handling of manuscripts, transparent peer review, appropriate management of competing interests, and the correction of the scholarly record when necessary. Editors and publishing personnel should follow the journal's published ethical policies and apply them consistently. Allegations of research or publication misconduct should be assessed carefully and handled according to established procedures. These commitments are informed by COPE's Core Practices, which cover journal management, conflicts of interest, peer review, ethical oversight, and post-publication discussions and corrections.
7. Transparency and Review of Management Information
SENTRALISASI will review its ownership, publisher, institutional affiliation, and management information periodically and whenever a material change occurs. Updates should be made promptly so that authors, reviewers, readers, and other stakeholders can identify the organization responsible for publishing the journal and understand its management structure. The journal will aim to ensure that the information presented on its website is truthful, accessible, and consistent with its actual organizational arrangements. This practice follows the COPE-endorsed Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing, which require clear ownership and management information and emphasize that information provided about journals and publishers should not mislead readers or authors.
