Sosialisasi Pengembangan Wisata Berkelanjutan Berbasis Kearifan Lokal di Kawasan Pantai Kaisarea Kota Sorong

Pengembangan wisata berkelanjutan berbasis kearifan lokal di kawasan Pantai Kaisarea Kota Sorong menjadi penting mengingat potensi besar yang dimilikinya sebagai destinasi wisata pesisir, namun terancam oleh dampak negatif pariwisata konvensional. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat dan pengelola wisata mengenai prinsip-prinsip keberlanjutan dengan memanfaatkan budaya lokal dan pelestarian lingkungan. Metode pengabdian yang digunakan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan pendekatan partisipatif. Sosialisasi dilakukan untuk memberikan pemahaman tentang pengelolaan sampah dan dampak pariwisata, sementara pelatihan difokuskan pada pemanfaatan bahan lokal untuk produk wisata yang ramah lingkungan. Pendekatan partisipatif melibatkan tokoh masyarakat dan pelaku wisata untuk menyusun deklarasi wisata berkelanjutan. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat tentang pentingnya wisata berkelanjutan, serta keberhasilan dalam pengelolaan sampah dan pengembangan produk lokal berbasis kearifan lokal. Kesimpulannya, kegiatan ini berhasil menciptakan sinergi antara pelestarian budaya, lingkungan, dan ekonomi masyarakat, serta dapat dijadikan model untuk pengembangan wisata berkelanjutan di daerah lain.
