Efektivitas Perilaku Kepemimpinan Berbasis Legitimate Power di Birokrasi Pemerintah Daerah

Perilaku kepemimpinan adalah proses pengaruh pemimpin terhadap yang dipimpin dengan menggunakan kuasa personal atau kuasa organisasi yang dimilikinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan efektivitas perilaku kepemimpinan yang menggunakan jenis kuasa legitimasi dalam mempengaruhi komitmen bawahan di birokrasi pemerintah daerah. Kuasa legitimasi umumnya dimanfaatkan dalam birokrasi pemerintah untuk mempengaruhi bawahan, padahal sejumlah riset sebelumnya menunjukkan korelasi yang negatif dengan komitmen tugas dan komitmen organisasi bawahan sebagaimana dihipotesiskan dalam penelitian ini. Untuk membuktikan hipotesis ini maka digunakan desain survey dengan teknik pengumpulan data kuesioner, serta dianalisis dengan teknik analisis somers’d. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perilaku kepemimpinan yang berbasis pada kuasa legitimasi efektif diterapkan di birokrasi Pemerintah Daerah. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan adanya korelasi positif taktik legitimasi dengan komitmen tugas dan komitmen organisasi bawahan.
