Pengaruh Komposisi Limbah Malam Batik terhadap Kualitas dan Emisi Bio-Kokas dari Biochar Baglog Jamur

Limbah malam batik dan limbah baglog jamur tiram memiliki potensi tinggi sebagai bahan baku energi alternatif berbasis biomassa. Limbah malam batik mengandung karbon dengan nilai kalor mencapai ±42 MJ/kg, sedangkan limbah baglog jamur memiliki kandungan lignoselulosa tinggi yang berfungsi sebagai perekat alami. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi komposisi limbah malam batik terhadap kualitas dan emisi bio-kokas berbasis limbah baglog jamur hasil pirolisis. Limbah baglog jamur dipirolisis pada suhu 350–400°C selama tiga jam, kemudian dicampur dengan limbah malam batik dalam variasi 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, dan 50% dengan total massa masing-masing 100 gram. Proses pengepresan dilakukan menggunakan mesin Leybold-Heraeus Compact MDP 10-1 dengan tekanan 2 ton. Karakterisasi bio-kokas meliputi uji proksimat (kadar air, kadar abu, volatile matter, dan fixed carbon), nilai kalor menggunakan Parr-6400 Calorimeter, serta emisi gas buang menggunakan KOENG KEG-500 Automotive Gas Analyzer. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan komposisi limbah malam batik meningkatkan nilai kalor dari 20,37 MJ/kg (P10) menjadi 27,31 MJ/kg (P50). Kadar abu menurun dari 30,2% menjadi 24,88%, sedangkan volatile matter meningkat dari 16% menjadi 26,5%. Emisi CO dan HC menurun signifikan, mendekati nol pada campuran ≥20%. Dengan demikian, penambahan limbah malam batik mampu meningkatkan efisiensi energi dan menurunkan emisi polutan, sehingga bio-kokas hasil pirolisis layak dikembangkan sebagai bahan bakar ramah lingkungan pengganti kayu bakar untuk sektor industri kecil.
